We are looking for a candidate with the experience and ability to manage the sourcing of all materials, goods and services for Aviramp / Alloy Ramps.

Job Specific Duties :

Oversee the supply chain management, strategising and negotiating with suppliers
Co-ordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply requirements
Schedule deliveries to ensure timely fulfilment of orders
Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise
Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
Evaluate existing suppliers based on quality, timeliness and price
Monitor and reduce procurement costs while improving operating efficiencies
Review and improve Company purchasing strategy
Research and evaluate prospective suppliers to compare pricing and services

Required Competences:

Experience or knowledge of working in a fast paced environment
Ability to work well in a team environment
Experience of and ability to meet deadlines
Experience and ability to manage supplier expectations and the ability to represent the company to a high standard
Minimum 3 year’s experience in procurement, inventory management or supply chain management
Understanding of manufacturing and production processes
CIPS (The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification would be advantageous but not essential as the opportunity to attain this qualification alongside the role will be encouraged

Hours: 39.5 hours per week (09.00 - 17.00 Monday – Thursday, 09.00 to 16.00 Friday)
Salary £30,000 to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications
