Aviramp®: Revolutionizing Accessible Boarding Since 2010
Aviramp® delivers height adjustable remote stand boarding ramps and bridges worldwide from our UK headquarters. Our journey began in 2010 when a client noticed our aluminium access ramps for disabled access and commercial use, along with portable aircraft steps we had supplied to the Middle East. When asked if we could design a ramp for disembarking disabled passengers off aircraft parked on remote stands, the answer was ‘Yes’.
We’re enormously proud to have teamed up with Delta Air Lines and US charity the Best Defense Foundation to honour veterans who took part in the D-Day landings more than 80 years ago. We’ve donated an International ramp to Deauville Airport in Normandy so that veterans can arrive in style for as long as commemorations continue.
With support from easyJet’s Ground Support Management, we developed and tested an aviation-grade product at Bristol Airport. Our focus was on assessing static and wind loading capacity while identifying the ideal slope angle for wheelchair operators, based on a 206-pound passenger load.
Exceeding Expectations
Our first trial surpassed expectations — the initial test passenger, who typically required an Ambulift, successfully walked independently down the ramp’s low-angled slopes.
Global Installations and Success
Our first commercial installations took place at Pierrefonds Airport in La Reunion, Perpignan Airport in France, and Dallas Fort Worth in the USA. These locations quickly purchased additional units after seeing significant improvements in passenger handling.
A Global Solution for Passenger Boarding
Today, Aviramp® provides a full range of height-adjustable remote stand passenger boarding ramps and bridges, trusted by airlines, ground handlers, and airports worldwide.

We have had good feedback from passengers, they have really helped passengers to take to remote stand operations here.” Airlines, having been more than encouraging of Sea-Tac to find ways to improve customer service vis-à-vis remote stand operations, have also been happy with the results.
