Aviramp CEO named in The Manufacturer Top 100 list

Aviramp chief executive Graham Corfield has been named in the prestigious Manufacturer Top 100 awards for his inspiring leadership.

Graham, who has built Aviramp into the global leader in its field since setting up the business 15 years ago, said the honour was for the Telford-based company’s whole team.

The Manufacturer Top 100 highlights the most dynamic leaders and innovators in manufacturing, nominated by The Manufacturer’s audience, the industrial community and judged by a panel of industry leaders, academics and manufacturing associations.

Graham, who has pioneered the use of step-free ramps for passengers getting on and off aircraft around the world, said he was exceptionally proud to have made the list.

“This is a tremendous honour and one I am delighted to accept on behalf of the whole Aviramp family.

“In fifteen years we’ve gone from being a fledgling start-up to the leading player in the industry, with 750 of our innovative ramps now in across the globe.

“We couldn’t have done that without the tremendous enthusiasm, skill and hard work of all our team, and this award reflects that.

“We have had an absolutely fantastic first half of the year – including being honoured to take part in recent commemorations to mark the 81st anniversary of the D-Day landings, where one of our ramps was used by returning US veterans – and all the signs are good for a record-breaking second half to the year.”

Aviramp posted record profits in 2024 and is a current holder of the Queen’s Award for International Trade.

Aviramp boarding ramps and bridges are used when an aircraft is parked on a remote stand and offer a safe, dignified alternative to stairs and separate ambulifts for wheelchair users and those passengers with reduced mobility.

The low-angled ramps are fitted with a unique non-slip surface to improve safety for all passengers and help improve turnaround times and efficiency for airlines, airports and ground handlers.
